What is Zinc Magnesium Coil ?

Through continuous hot-dipped galvanising a protective magnesium, aluminium and zinc alloy coating is applied to cold rolled coils, to prevent corrosion. The zinc alloy coating acts as a barrier, safeguarding the steel from rust and corrosion by sacrificing itself if scratched or damaged.

Zing Magnesium galvanised steel coils offer corrosion resitance above the normal zinc coating, in addition to strength, durability, and cost-efficiency.

This is a solution to highly corrosive applications, such as animal breeding facilities, coastal solar panel farms and factories in polluted industrial environments.

The Magnesium in the coating is a catalyst which accelerates the formation of a highly resistant crystalline film that is extremely stable. The 'film' moves outwards to seal the exposed substrate surface. The corrosion resistance is remarkably superior when compared to normal zinc galvanising.
